Stotfold Pitches

With all this dry weather we have had we made the decision recently to stop football on our grass pitches temporarily. This is to protect our pitches and give them a chance to grow back healthier and make sure they are safe for our players. If we play on them now they will be damaged potentially ruining them for the season ahead.

I know everyone is excited to get their season going again, but please be patient and understand that we as a Club need to think long term for the season ahead so the children get as much football as possible.

We are not the only club in this position and the dry spell has taken its toll on all grass areas across the country. Thank you for your continued support and everyone at the Club is working hard to ensure there will be football played soon. Pitches will continue to be evaluated weekly. All leagues are aware of these issues that all Clubs are facing at the moment.

Unfortunately we need a fair bit of rain to soften the ground and return the grass to a greener state. But we do live in England so it will come.
