1. Our Commitment to Safety
Stotfold Junior Football Club is fully committed to providing a safe environment for all football-related activities. This Health & Safety Policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities that help us maintain a secure and enjoyable setting for players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators.
2. Club Responsibilities

Relevant club officials are informed of current Health & Safety procedures and ensure any updates in legislation or best practice are communicated throughout the club.

The club adheres to The FA’s Goalpost Safety Guidance.

We maintain public and civil liability insurance and operate in accordance with the terms of the policy.
3. Manager and Coach Responsibilities
All Managers and Coaches are expected to:

Know how and where emergency services can access all club pitches.

Ensure goalposts are erected safely and supervised when necessary.

Regularly inspect and maintain club equipment, replacing items when needed.

Conduct pre-session pitch inspections to identify and remove hazards such as:

Broken glass
-
Drinks cans
-
Dog mess
-
Ground holes or trip hazards
-

Carry a mobile phone for emergency use.

Hold a valid FA Emergency Aid qualification and keep it up to date.

Bring a complete and in-date First Aid Kit to all training sessions and matches.

Be aware of any player illnesses or allergies and know the appropriate response.

Carry the Parental Consent Form at all times, which includes:

Emergency contact details

Player’s doctor information

4. Incident Reporting
Any incident or accident must be reported to a member of the Club Management Committee immediately. Prompt reporting ensures appropriate follow-up and helps maintain a safe environment for all.
