Building for the Future
Why Now?
Over the last decade, Stotfold Junior FC has experienced significant growth in both participation and the scale of its operations.
The club now supports 79 teams across multiple leagues, managing a growing range of responsibilities including safeguarding, facilities, registrations, communications, volunteer coordination, finance and governance.
Many of these responsibilities have been successfully managed through the commitment of a small number of volunteers who have willingly taken on multiple roles. While this approach has driven the club's success, it places significant demands on individuals and limits capacity for future growth and improvement.
This proposal is not about fixing something broken. It is about protecting something successful.
The current structure was right for the club when it was smaller and simpler. The proposed structure reflects the reality of a large and complex grassroots football organisation — ensuring responsibilities are shared appropriately, support is strengthened and future growth can be achieved sustainably.
